Other names: Xeljanz xr; 3-((3R,4R)-4-methyl-3-(methyl(7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)amino)piperidin-1-yl)-3-oxopropanenitrile 2-hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylate, 3-{(3R,4R)-4-methyl-3-[methyl(7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)amino]piperidin-1-yl}-3-oxopropanenitrile 2-hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylate; 3-{(3r,4r)-4-methyl-3-[methyl-(7h-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)-amino]-piperidin-1-yl}-3-oxo-propionitrile citrate salt.
Tofacitinib (citrate salt) is a white to off-white crystalline powder insoluble in water and ethanol but very soluble in DMSO and N,N-Dimethylacetamide.
People use it to treat adults with psoriatic arthritis, moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis and moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. It is one of our new pharmaceutical ingredients along with 99% Emeramide Powder, Pure Tafamidis powder.
Recenlty researches have shown that it can be used for for alopecia Areata (hair growth). Unlike minoxidil powder, the dosage forms of it for alopecia are not limited to topically applied formulations, it has dosage forms of tablets for alopecia too.
Please note, it is the first oral JAK inhibitor approved for ulcerative colitis by FDA.
